Question of the Month: How Do You Research Job Candidates Through Social Media?

According to a recent survey by CareerBuilder, 37% of companies use social networking sites to research job candidates. Of the more than 2,000 hiring managers and HR professionals who were surveyed, 65% said they look to see if candidates present themselves professionally; 51% look to see if the candidate is a good fit for the company’s culture; and 45% want to learn more about the candidate’s qualifications.

And, another 12% said they look for reasons not to hire a candidate.

With so much of our lives now on display with the click of the mouse, it’s possible to learn a lot about a person simply by the way they portray themselves through social media. So, we want to know:
