5 Traits that Make Passionate Workers Drivers of Success

Passionate employees are engaged employees. They believe in the work they do and that they have a vested interest in the success of their company. And, they know their contributions help drive that success. Passionate employees work relentlessly toward their goals – not just to live up to company expectations, but also to their own high standards of personal achievement.

Bottom line, passionate employees lead the innovative and strategic development of their companies and set a shining example for other employees to follow.

So, what is it that makes passionate employees drivers of success?

They are focused – Eyes on the prize.
Passionate workers don’t just set a goal, they fixate on it and are driven to achieve it. American Author and poet Henry David Thoreau said, “You must not only aim right, but draw the bow with all your might.” An employee who works with passion can’t help but pour themselves into reaching their goals and won’t rest until they’ve exceeded them.

They are stubborn – But in a good way.
Stubbornness as a result of ignorance or pride can be detrimental to productivity, but when it comes from a place of true conviction and understanding, it can be a powerful motivator of innovation and productivity. Passionate workers believe in themselves whole-heartedly and won’t easily back down from a fight for what they know is right.

They are savvy – Constantly honing their skills.
Passionate workers know there’s always something new to learn, a skill they can sharpen, or a stone that shouldn’t be left unturned. They seek out opportunities to be better at their jobs – and they do it just as much to excel at the office as they do to excel in other parts of their lives.

They are competitive – Driven to succeed.
“It’s not a competition,” is seldom heard coming from the mouths of passionate employees – or at least not necessarily 100% in earnest. Whether it’s to exceed other’s expectations or their own, they’re driven to create results and will seldom be satisfied with second best.

They are steadfast – Persevere through defeat.
Failure doesn’t define passionate workers. In fact, it often just makes them work even harder. While falling short of a goal can be a deflating experience, employees who are passionate about their jobs and truly believe in the work they do won’t stay down for long and will soon be working to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it.

I am so satisfied here at my work place. Been here for 5 years . If i honestly did not like what i did, I would not be here. I truly believe in helping others and helping others succeed. I believe that great and passinate employers should really take the time and listen to their employees, we like to be heard. If there is room to move up i believe the one who wants to move up should be told how to make it better for them to do so. Passionate employers show they care and not sit back and watch some one fall behind. I like to be heard. It feel s ha ser to have an excellent employer than you can depend on.
