The most stressful things I have found over the years, especially in local government, are politics, big P and little p, turf battles, power struggles, and bureaucracy, “doing more with less” is the motto of the times, though those in leadership and power don’t want to talk about it, but employees in general know it, feel it, and morale is suffering. I also work part-time for a large retailer who is undergoing some massive changes in management reduction and it is affecting other employees who are also leaving on their own as well.

    p.s. Greg and Lora,

Are you familiar with B&I, a business and industry networking group in the region? You would be a good resource employer they would benefit from.
