I love infographics and this one was beautifully made and easy to understand. How true that many companies are making the switch to new employee onboarding software to save cost and time when trying to grow their company (especially now while many companies are still working remotely). And really, it just makes logical sense. I wasn’t surprised to read that companies with a strong onboarding process have higher levels of productivity (I have worked for enough companies to see the difference that new employee training can make) but I was surprised to learn that it costs anywhere from $3,000 to $18,000 to replace the average employee! No wonder there has been such a push to develop effective new employee onboarding software. The facts and figures you listed for the cost of poor onboarding were eye-opening and even more shocking was the rate at which senior outside hires fail within the first year and a half. But what was absolutely jaw-dropping was the 37 billion dollars that’s spent to keep actual unproductive employees who don’t even truly understand their job. If that doesn’t scream “get your onboarding process together” I don’t know what does. It is good to know, however, that with the right materials and the right trainers, these are figures that can be turned around. Thanks for the data.
