Our agency allows for a 9/80 flex schedule (which is working 80 hours in 9 days), and then you get the 10th day off. Employees at the Manager level are exempt employees, and are not required to account for time taken off if it is less than 4 hours. Manager level employees also receive 80 hours of admin leave per year.

We allow our FT employees to take time during annouced slow season to spend time with family in early summer, make dr. appts whatever. They can use half days off and if they need personal time for other family issues is fine.
We adjust work hours to early during hot seasons to allow them off of work earlier in the afternoon. Many like to go to the pool with kids etc.
