Time away is good for business
There are many benefits to taking some time away from the daily grind, both for your workforce and your business. Even if they protest, encouraging your employees to occasionally take time off helps in a variety of important ways.

  • Rested employees are more productive
Although it may sound counter-productive, time away from work to indulge in a little well-earned R&R can boost performance. Employees come back rested, refreshed, and de-stressed, which helps boost productivity.
  • Breaks up the routine
Humans are creatures of habit. In the office, our minds can get stuck in monotonous routines as we merely go through the motions. Creativity and innovation come from thinking outside the box, so opportunities to break out of these ruts and have new experiences may help lead to your company’s next big idea.
  • Time away is good for your health
Vacation isn’t just important for your mental state, it can also help address a wide range of physiological ailments, as well. Job stress left unchecked often leads to the body’s inability to resist infection, maintain vital functions, and avoid injury. Sometimes a vacation is just what the doctor ordered.
