Integrity Foundation to Success

In a recent study by Express Employment Professionals, work ethic and integrity were deemed the most important characteristics for employers when hiring new employees. And surprisingly, education received the lowest rating. Though education and experience are important, who a person is drives success. Notably, education doesn’t make up for poor ethics and attitude. Famous motivational speaker, celebrated author of Secrets of Closing the Sale, and one of the most influential salesmen of all time put it this way:

“The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love, and loyalty.”
– Zig Ziglar

Experience and education can only help garnish so much success. After a while, leaders hit a wall when they rely on knowledge alone. Looking forward, the companies that focus on maintaining high integrity, solid character, and empathy will have the most motivated and engaged workforce. And having a fully engaged staff will help draw more top talent to your company.
