Absolutly not. Raising the minimum wage to $15.00 an hour now would be a disaster to an already depleted economy. Get the economy where it was during the last administration and then have the conversation.

Who can live on $30,000 dollars a year? $15 per hour is not going to make anyone rich, but at least it will be an improvement. You try living on less than that. Without an increase to those that earn minimum wage, who’s economy is better? certainly not the minimum wagers. Even at$15 per hour they are living in poverty. It is only a disaster to those that want more for themselves. I say raise the minimum wage!

Many small businesses will not be able to afford part time non manual labor positions.
Such as clerks in retail, real estate, restaurant, and many other positions. Question??You can’t pay a clerk and a manager the same pay

Here is a prime example in the largest home building market we have ever experienced.
I tried to hire a contractor to do a $30,000. renovation on my home. Most wanted $40 to
$60,000. So I located 5 different 1099 subcontractors and worked out a total for each project staying in my $30,000 budget. They are not paying their employee’s $15. per hr.
No their employees are also 1099 subcontractors. Probably making less than $15 p/hr.

A federal minimum wage is ridiculous. Living costs and labor markets vary widely across the country. States already do this on their own and do not need the feds involved. Minimum wage decisions are best left to the states and/or cities.

It would help so many people and would help our economy. People that make $15 an hour spend almost 100% of what they make.

Businesses will pay wages necessary to hire capable people. A $ 15.00 minimum wage will not increase an individuals ability. We should not create the circumstance where mediocrity pays the same as capability.

I do not support a jump to $15 all in one time, I do support the increase over time to allow the rest of the economy to try and keep up, if you jump the min. wage all at one time you will finish what COVID started, crush small business.

I do not feel raising the minimum wage to $15 will be effective. This is a band-aid approach. For those individuals earning less than minimum wage, it will be a welcome change; however, the resulting side effects on consumer prices, small businesses and labor level decisions will not be in their favor.

Raising minimum wage raises the price of commodities and lowers our dollar value. In the end those on minimum wage end up making the same (value wise) and everyone else loses. Does not benefit anyone. Just another ploy to win votes.

In NJ you can work at 14. Will anyone EVER hire a teenager again if you have to pay $15/hr.??
