An Appointment with Success

Jim StovallIf I told you that you will become like that which you think about all day, would you reconsider your thoughts? If I told you that you will become like the people you hang around with, would you reconsider your associations? If I told you that you will become like the books you read, the TV you watch, and the movies you attend, would you reconsider what you feed your mind?

Our success is built a brick at a time, one on top of another. You are only as stable as your foundation or as solid as your building materials.

The psychologist William James said that the most amazing discovery of the 20th century may be that human beings can control their future by controlling their minds. When you think of all of the amazing discoveries of the 20th century that have changed the way we live, Dr. James’s statement becomes even more profound.

I have been writing weekly columns for over a decade, and I have written 15 books and made movies designed to help people change their minds. I have the privilege of speaking to countless people around the world each year in corporate and arena events. Occasionally, I have a unique invitation that I like to share with those who are seeking to change their life by changing their mind.

On Wednesday, May 5, you can be a part of a very unique and special event. There is no charge and no obligation. The only thing I ask you to bring to this event is an open mind. For more information or to sign up, go to www.myleadershipinstinct.com. I will be speaking at this event along with some tremendous thought leaders in the field of workplace productivity and career enhancement.

My friends and colleagues at Express Employment Professionals are making this possible. Their CEO, Bob Funk, wrote the foreword to my latest book 100 Worst Bosses and will again be writing the foreword to my upcoming book 100 Worst Employees. If you would like to submit a story and receive a free autographed copy of my next book when it is available, go to www.100worstemployees.com.

One of my great friends and the publisher of several of my books, the late great Charlie “Tremendous” Jones, became famous for saying, “You will be the same person you are today, five years from now, except for the people you meet and the books you read.” Through this very special event, you and I will have the opportunity to meet some high-impact people and learn about several life-changing books.

As you go through your day today, consider the quality and content of what you’re feeding your mind, and commit to upgrading your mental diet through the best people, books, and movies as well as this great event on May 5.

Today’s the day!
