This is one area where the company I work for excels. We have a “Social Resposibility Committee” which looks over the efforts at each of our North American branches. Each branch is “EXPECTED” to participate in at least two events in their respective communities each calendar year. Also, if it’s a fundraiser, and we have 80% or more employee envolvement, the company will match–dollar for dollar–up to $5000 per event. The company also give paid time off to employees who are affected by acts of nature (floods, hurricanes, etc.) so that the employees don’t have to worry about their jobs and are able to focus on getting their respective lives back in order. Pretty damn cool, I’d say!!
